Terms of Engagement.

These terms govern the use of this website and the basis on which we discuss potential work. They are not a contract for services. Each engagement is governed by its own written agreement, signed before work begins.

Who we are

Gavin Erasmus Advisory is a trading name of Green Oasis Trading (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa under number 2014/035716/07. References to "we" and "us" mean that company.

The content here is provided for general information about our advisory practice. Engagement durations, framework references, and methodology descriptions are indicative and do not constitute an offer.

Enquiries

Sending a brief starts a conversation, not an engagement. No obligation arises on either side until a scope, fee, and deliverable are agreed in writing. We treat the information you share in an enquiry as confidential.

How we engage

Work is taken on as a single engagement: we build the system and then we operate it. Scoping and architecture are discussed before any agreement and are not charged for, so there is no separate assessment to buy. The term is a minimum of twelve months from signature, billed as a monthly retainer. The engagement agreement sets out the scope, fees, and notice provisions that apply, and it prevails over anything stated on this site.

Intellectual property

The pattern library, reference architecture, framework names, wordmark, and written content on this site are ours. Frameworks and tools we reference but did not author remain the property of their owners; we describe our use of them, and claim no ownership over them.

Liability

We take reasonable care over the accuracy of this site but provide it "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions taken solely on the basis of website content ahead of a formal engagement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
